Some people have switched to e-cigarettes in a quicker fashion, while some want to go through the reviews published in periodicals and also the comments provided online. These people, who are waiting for the feedback from the market, don’t have access to much scientific study data, establishing the effects of e-cigarettes over traditional physical cigarettes, except for a few studies.
A group of e-Cigarette users were asked for their feedback in a convention or a club meeting held at St.Louis, MO. Based on the responses provided by the interviewee, qualitative analytical methods were used to arrive at broad based findings. The study was conducted by the Division of Health Behavior research, school of medicine, Washington University, St.Louis, MO
Based on the interviews conducted with the 15 participants at the convention, the study group was able to arrive at different themes that can be used as a metric or a measure to evaluate the effectiveness of e-cigarettes. These themes are listed below.
The study has come out with the findings based upon the analysis done on the data collected from the different people who participated in the convention held at St. Louis, MO. The findings report that the ill effects of consuming smokeless Nicotine is only 2% of the ill-effects of consuming traditional physical cigarettes. Some smokers also preferred using e-Cigs even though the quantity of Nicotine consumed is very when compared to the traditional cigarettes. Another interesting finding was related to the preferred e-Cigarette vapor strength. Most of the participants preferred e-Cigarettes with the maximum vapor strength. The vapor comes with different strengths including a maximum strength of 16ml/mg.
Another interesting finding is related to the percentage of people who have quit smoking traditional cigarettes. More than 50% of the respondents have quit smoking traditional cigarettes and have fully switched to e-Cigarettes. Majority of the respondents were positive on the health benefits provided by using inhaling vapors generated by the e-Cigarettes. The different health benefits experienced by the respondents are listed below.
In addition to the positive health benefits, the respondents also listed a few negative effects of taking up to e-Cigs. These negative side effects were found to be minor in the form of dry mouth and dry throat. The study also reveals that most of the users who have switched to e-cigarettes have become vendors of the product.
They have started a small business by selling e-Cigarettes in the retail market. Some of the consumers who had switched from the traditional form have started online forums to spread the message about the positive benefits of consuming e-Cigs.
