Detailed Box Mod Reviews

Box mods, which are sometimes referred to as vape mods, are by far the most common vaping device on the market, and the device all intermediate and expert vapers turn too for a reliable and quality vape.

The main reason box mods perform so well is the use of bigger batteries, most often dual 18650 batteries, but some mods are available with either single battery or built-in battery options along with the bigger mods on the market that take the larger 20700 and 21700 batteries.

Not only do these larger batteries give a better battery life, but also allow the vaper to adjust the output of the Wattage to high levels far exceeding 200Watts. This is really for the more specialized vaper, who build their own coils to handle this power. The majority of pre-built coils will only be able to handle wattages of up to 100W, so don’t try this with a standard coil or atomizer, you’ll burn it out!

Another reason that box mods are so common is that they come with a regulated circuit board, often referred to as the chipset. This is the brains of the mod, which allows the user to control the wattage, temperature, resistance and also tell the vaper other information like the battery life, puff timers, and counters and even, with the more fancy mod, allow you to adjust any lights on the mod.

New vapers usually start out with either Cigalikes or Vape Pods, then after they get used to vaping and like it, they often move onto vape pens. Box mods seem to be more suited to people who have tried either of the other options first, like vaping and want to get even more satisfaction from their vape. That said, many manufacturers are now designing box mod starter kits with new vapers in mind.
